TN17 Day 3 Recap: Had another good day today. Got a lot done at the school! Put a second coat of paint on the walls in the library, and worked on scraping old paint off of the door frames. We finished sanding the gym and put a coat of primer on the walls. Also got the rest of the basketball hoops taken down from the walls. At chapel tonight, and in small groups, we talked about God being our Everlasting Father. Tomorrow is a half day on the worksite and a free afternoon!
TN17 Day 2 Recap: Had a good day today on the worksite! The Library is looking great! Got a fresh coat of paint on today and it is ready for the flooring to be installed on Saturday! We also got a lot of work done in the Gym! Finished sanding all of the walls, took down 2 of the basketball hoops, and prepped the walls for priming. Also did some other small random projects around the school. In Chapel and small group this week, we are covering Isaiah 9:6. We’re discussing the names for God that we see in this verse, what they tell us about who He is, and how those truths impact our relationship with Him. We are looking forward to another great day tomorrow!
TN17 Day 1 Recap: We had a great first day! This year, our team is working at a local Elementary school! We are really excited that by working on a school rather than on a house, we are having the opportunity to impact A LOT more people! This school is in need of some updates, but does not get very many funds to put towards them. We are working on refreshing their library and their gymnasium. The jobs include scraping off old paint, sanding the walls, taking basketball hoops down, and re painting walls in both environments. We are off to a good start, but there’s a lot of work still to be done!
