Keystone Church exists to love and lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by creating environments that make it easy for people to turn to God. Each gift you make to Keystone’s Ministry is an investment in God’s Kingdom and is an investment that is making an eternal difference in the lives of people each and every week.
“Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.”
– Matthew 6:21
Your gift is certainly important to the ministry of Keystone, but more importantly the obedience and trust you place in the Lord’s promise is paramount. Your financial generosity fuels Keystone to love and lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and is a testament of your love for the One Who First Gave.
“But just as you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness, and in complete love for us – see that you also excel in this grace of giving.”
– 2 Corinthians 8:7
Tithes & Offerings
The Bible teaches that we worship the Lord with our tithe, a baseline of giving identified as 10% of our income contributed to the local church on a regular basis. When we feel called to give over and above our tithe, we do so as an offering. We encourage you to trust God completely by bringing your full tithe to His church.
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
– 2 Corinthians 9:7
Ways to Give at Keystone
There are several benefits to online giving for both you and our church. Some of them are…
- Regularly Honoring God – When you sign up to give online, you are planning in advance to regularly give. A recurring contribution is recurring faithfulness and trust on your part toward God.
- Simplicity – We automate what is important because we like to make life simple. We don’t have to worry if we did it or not if we automate it.
- Security – We utilize an encrypted secure website for your online records. Online giving is more secure than giving with a check or cash because an electronic gift cannot be lost or stolen.
- Focus – Instead of having to worry about writing a check on Sunday morning, you can focus on the Sunday Morning Experience.
- Helping Keystone – Online giving is more cost effective for our church to process and it makes our record keeping much easier.
We partner with Ardent Giving Solutions for our online giving. Their system is super easy to use and totally secure. Simply click the GIVE/LOGIN button below to get started. You can also use this button to login to your account and review your giving record.
You can also give using your mobile phone by texting GIVE to the the church phone number: 734-944-5397.
Please contact Tarah Purvis, our financial administrator, if you need help with online giving at 734-944-5397.
Automated Bank Debit is the easiest and most efficient way to automate your giving. Once it is set up, you may update or change your giving at any time by simply contacting our office at email@example.com. There are no processing fees, so 100% of your gift goes to the ministries of Keystone Church.
To sign-up, complete an auto-debit form and mail or drop off the completed form to the Keystone office to have your giving automatically deducted from your checking or savings account. Complete instructions are included in the download file.
There are significant tax advantages in giving appreciated stock held for more than one year. The donor may take the full fair market value of the stock gift as a charitable deduction on his or her income taxes and neither the donor nor the church pay long-term capital gains tax, which is 15% of the net appreciation of the stock or 5% for those in the 10 percent tax bracket.
The maximum deduction you may take within a given tax year is 30 percent of your adjusted gross income. If you are unable to take the entire deduction in one year, you may carry the excess deduction forward for five additional years.
A Note About Credit Cards & Debit Cards
Keystone does not accept credit cards for contribution purposes. We prefer electronic funds transfer, automated bank debit, bank bill pay, checks, and stocks/bonds/securities as very cost-effective giving methods. Debit cards are also accepted as an online payment method, but significant fees are incurred.
Consumer debt is a significant issue in our culture, and although many people pay off their credit card balance every month, many also do not. We do not want to encourage someone to go into debt and pay interest on gifts given to the church.
Although debit cards do not cause consumer debt, note that as much as 3% of your gift would go to the processing company through their fee structure. With electronic funds transfer, bank bill pay, and checks, your entire gift goes to the church.
