What is ReOrient?

ReOrient is the product of more than three years of research, planning, and prayer. As we have continued to love and lead more and more people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ it became apparent that we were facing a wonderful challenge: More interest than we had room? The facility that the members of Keystone helped fund and build on 3375 Water Works Road back in 2002 and expanded in 2006 was great for a congregation of around 400 people. But since 2007, Keystone has nearly doubled in our regular worship attendance and even with three worship experiences, we do not have enough available seats at the most appealing times for people to attend church (between 10:30-11:30 am).

Not only that, but we are also in need of dedicated space for our growing ministry to families of children with special needs and our adult classes that we call our Spiritual Growth Journey Courses. It is very tempting to simply keep the status quo and fall into the rut of what we’ve come to know but we are asking everyone who calls Keystone their church home to do some reorienting when it comes to their expectations. Jesus gave some very clear instructions to everyone who would follow Him:
“…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”~ Matt. 28:19-20 (NIV)
That command is commonly called the Great Commission. He also said,
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’  This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” ~ Matt. 22:37-40 (NIV)
This is typically called the Great Commandment.

Our hope, through this campaign, is that all of us will make a commitment to ReOrient our hearts, souls, and minds to fulfill the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. That we will join in providing the resources necessary to help us reach more people with the Gospel, connect them to others who are following Christ, grow every follower of Jesus so that they become a disciple that makes disciples and share all of God’s blessings with each other and our neighbors.

The Goals of Our ReOrient Campaign:

Over a two-year commitment window, we are looking to raise $2,506,000 to expand our auditorium (providing 148 additional seats per experience), build additional space for adult education classrooms as well as dedicated space for our special needs ministry. We would also increase the size of our lobby, adding a double set of doors which improves our energy efficiency, creating a special area for prayer as well as improving the flow of traffic on Sundays. We are also going to eliminate the remaining mortgage debt from our initial construction and share a very special financial gift to a young church looking to buy land and build a facility in Bangalore, India. Even though Commitment Sunday was March 10th, you are still invited to join the campaign by filling out our online commitment card or turning in your physical commitment card in one of our drop boxes on Sunday.
