SALINE AREA SOCIAL SERVICE
HOPE CLINIC
Saline Area Social Service has had a mission for over 60 years to provide food, emergency aid, and support to those in need. They serve over 600 people each year. SASS clients either reside within the boundaries of the Saline Area School District or live outside of Saline with children attending Saline Area Schools. They aim to build a stronger community of neighbors helping neighbors. Learn more about how you, your family, or group can volunteer at SASS.
Hope Clinic is an interdenominational Christian organization that provides compassionate and practical help + healing to those in need, ministering to the whole person with dignity and respect. They provide a wide range of social services to low-income children and adults without medical insurance. They run mental care as well as medical and dental clinics in Ypsilanti and Wayne. Mill Pond Manor Meals
Safe Families for Children hosts vulnerable children and creates extended family–like support for desperate families through a community of devoted volunteers who are motivated by compassion to keep children safe + families intact. SFFC surrounds families in crisis with caring, compassionate community. They are a volunteer-driven nonprofit, motivated by faith, that provides hope and support to families in our local communities. Compassion Ministry of Milan is a nonprofit food pantry for people in Washtenaw county or in the Milan area school district. As a Jesus led organization their goal is to treat everyone with integrity, care, and kindness. They provide weekly groceries, fresh produce and prepared food. Volunteer Opportunities include helping weekly on Fridays to prepare and package food from food truck donations, and on Saturdays to assist guests. Learn more about volunteering here.
Volunteers have the opportunity to prepare and serve full holiday dinners to the wonderful group of elderly residents at Mill Pond Manor, sharing care + God's love with them. Volunteer opportunities include organizing the menu, serving, preparation, bringing a dish, creating centerpieces, connecting with + sharing a meal with residents, serving and cleanup of the meal. VAPOR MINISTRIES
Vapor Ministries transforms impoverished communities through a holistic approach to community development. They establish sustainable outreach centers for alleviating poverty + multiplying disciples in the world's poorest areas. They meet physical, spiritual, and economic needs in West Africa, East Africa, and Haiti while developing indigenous leaders who drive change in their communities. They are actively scaling this proven model with the intent to physically + spiritually serve millions on a weekly basis. Find out more.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Keystone collects gift-filled shoeboxes each fall. The shoebox gifts, along with the Gospel message in each child’s language, are distributed in the U.S. and around the world to the tune of over 8 million boxes! The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.

LIFE TOGETHER NICARAGUA- MANAGUA, NICARAGUA
This global mission is a Christ-centered organization created to live life together, sharing burdens, building meaningful relationships, and reflecting the love of Jesus through both words and actions. Their ministry provides nutritious meals, supports students from elementary school through university, and cares for seniors, families in difficult circumstances, and children experiencing malnutrition.. Wycliffe Translators – Musoma, Tanzania
Mitch and Tara Wimbush and family serve with Wycliffe Translators. Mitch is a vernacular and media specialist, while Tara assists with financial services. They are part of the Mara Cluster Project that is working on translating nine languages to help provide Bibles for approximately 1.6 million people in the Mara region of NW Tanzania. EMERGING YOUNG LEADERS & NIRIKSHA TRUST – BANGALORE, INDIA
Emerging Young Leaders – Dhaka, Bangladesh
Samuel Balachander (Bala) teaches Christian leadership principles and skills to young people in various cities in his country. He's also reached out with EYL (Emerging Young Leaders) ministry to Sri Lanka, South Africa, Malaysia and several other countries. EYL in India reached thousands of people.
Khushi Saha provides Christian leadership seminars and pastor conferences through Emerging Young Leaders (EYL) in Dhaka, as well as in the hill country where few pastors get the initial and ongoing training they really need. Funds are used for training materials and provisions for conference attendees who are desperate for Christian teachings.
Samaritan Children’s Home Medical Clinic – Bangladesh
Keystone supports the doctors and nurses who diagnose and treat the hundreds of children at the Samaritan Children’s Home, as well as many people in the community.
