God Helps Those Who Help Themselves

John 16 helps to put into perspective the concep that following Jesus will always result in greater health, wealth and care-free existence. The bible doesn't promise that God will never give us more than we can handle. It promises that God will never give us more than He can handle. He'll be with us in the midst of pain and provides a family of faith to help as well.
