Promise Keeper

David is often remembered for being a great king, a talented poet, a man after God's heart. But Matthew highlights something else - David the adulterer, murderer, liar. Yet God had made a promise to him that his name and his house would last forever. Our bad behavior does not negate God's promises, God's grace and forgiveness are always available, no matter what we've done.
